-Lunch junior year: During lunch every day a group of about ten juniors would walk into Mrs. Obergs class and take up half the room to jump, yell, and curse at each other while playing nothing other than card games, such as go fish and scum. It would a half hour battle between us all to see how would be the winner. At the beginning it was child's play and we thought nothing of it. As the year progressed the pressure was on to see who would win. The games were so intense because we had all gotten so good at the games. We all knew the secrets, the tricks, and the cheats to win. It was a huge mind game the whole time. Every day held a new winner. Eventually it got intense Mrs. Oberg actually had to kick us out because we would get so into a game of go fish that we would yell and swear really loud. Sadly that tradition died when the school year ended but I will never forget the times we had in that room. The games we played and all the fun we had just beating each other or how we turned into a science on how to win. I also love this memory do much because during those tough competitive games I created friends, friends I would have never talked to before the card games.
